| Scholarship
for SSC (Annual) Examination 2009 |
|
The detail of scholarships by
the Board or by the Government after passing SSC Examination is
given below:
- National Talent Scholarships:
This scholarship is awarded to one student out of 700 students
passing SSC Examination. The rate for a boarder-Scholar is Rs.
450/- per month and

- Rs. 262.50 for a day-Scholar Rs. 750/-
are paid in lump sum for purchase of books.
- Hijri Awards: Hijri Scholarship
is awarded to 55 top-most students passing SSC Examination excluding
the National Talent Scholars. In addition to the above following
Scholarships are also awarded.
- 30 Scholarships to the children of Teachers.
- 5 Scholarships for Hafiz-i-Quran.
- 5 for those securing best marks in Islamiyat
Compulsory.
- 3 for the children of Board employees.
The rate of Scholarship for the categories
mentioned in (b) above is Rs. 375/- P.M. for a boarder and Rs. 325/-
for a day Scholar.
National Talent Scholarships
for Students Passing Intermediate Examination
One student for every 350 students passing Intermediate Examination
is Pre-Medical,
Pre-Engineering, Humanities, General Science and Commerce Groups.

In addition to the above Scholarships,
Govt. of the Punjab awards Merit Scholarships to the students, the
details of which can be had from the E.D.O (Education) of the concerned
district.
Medal and Cash Prizes
Medals and Cash prizes are given to the students securing first
three positions in every group at SSC and Intermediate level. A
Student securing over-all first position is presented a computer
as well. |
